If you are using Release 6.12 then only PROC UNIVARIATE is available to compute medians and other quantile statistics.

If you have Version 8, then you can get medians and other quantile statistics in PROCs TABULATE and MEANS as well as in PROC UNIVARIATE. Andrew H. Karp Sierra Information Services, Inc.
