Subject: %INCLUDE from SAS WORK? (MVS)
Content-Type: text/plain

In the past I have used a SAS data step to create program code (an involved WHERE statement) and PUT it to an external flat file. Then %INCLUDE the customized code in the next DATA step.

Somewhere in the foggy reaches of my grey matter I recall someone showing a way to have this intermediate file be in the SAS WORK library (saving me some JCL or FILENAME statements). Any body know this technique?

(Please also respond directly to me since I get the DIGEST)

Andy Kowalczyk
