Subject: track migrant flocks by Doppler
Content-Type: TEXT/PLAIN; charset=US-ASCII
From the Defenders of Wildlife site...
"RESOURCES:
Birdcast will provide information, through Doppler Weather Radar, to
provide morning and evening snapshots of migrating birds in the Mid-
Atlantic region on their website at http://www.birdcast.org. Birdcast
is a two-month pilot program to help decrease potential threats to
birds during their migration north. Scientists hope the Birdcast
project increases interest in observing and protecting migratory birds.
Maptech has introduced MAPSERVER on its web site at
http://www.maptech.com. On this site you can view, print and email
topographic maps and nautical charts created by both the NOAA and USGS
for free!"
