Subject:   Re: SAS string commands for Address cleansing

Dear ZUBIN,

<GRIN>

I direct you to my web site (www.sasconsig.com) and under Tips and Techniques, look for my Fuzzy Merge Routines about addressing matching, etc. In addition, also look at my E-scrub Icon button. There maybe some useful tips or alternate commercial vendors you might consider. Finally, if you are really ambitious and want some great sleeping material, take a look at the paper I presented to SUGI 22 in San Deigo about Fuzzy Match which resides on the SAS Institute's web site under SAS Observation.

I believe there are also some good papers presented in the past about Phonetic Matching, I think by Dave Riba, which I am sure will help as well.

HTH and Good Luck.
