Subject: SAS-Return Code Available?
Hallo,
Environment
MVS -------> Connect to UNIX (AIX)
The programm starts on MVS and works with source-generating and
-including.
The source code includes nested macros and %includes are done at
different steps of the program.
Sometimes, a connect is done and via remote submit (with %include done
from MVS), some parts of the program
execute on the remote host. This parts include also nested macros and
%includes.
Claim
If an error occurs anywhere in the execution on the local host or the
remote host, execution should stop. The return-code
should be available at the end of the program execution (on the
remote-host by itself or by remote submit and on the local host by
itself or by %sysrput).
Question
It is possible to find out the location and reason for the first error
in program executing,
without using and retaining (!) &syserr or &sysinfo at each (!) step,
where an error can occur ?
In any case I would be pleased about response.
Catrin
