Subject: change type of variables
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii

Hi,

I have a dataset that has some 40 string variables and 20 numeric variables. I need to change the string variable to numeric and some numeric to string. I know I can go to each one of them and make the change. I was just wondering if someone would tell me how I can make these changes all at a time using syntax so I don't have to manually do this whenever it is needed. Many thanks. I use SPSS 9.0 on NT.

Xihu
