Hi, all

I use version 9.0 (something, includes the patches) and have encountered the same quirk. I'm not sure at what line length SPSS starts to choke, but the problem does seem to be with the file length and not necessarily with the program. I have syntax files where I manually select and run relatively small pieces at a time and as Sally describes, only the first line runs IF the total syntax file length is greater than some magic number. If I shorten the file, or paste the same code into another file, voila! it runs.

I have Windows 95 with 64 MB RAM. The problem only seems to correlate with syntax file length, and not with running out of memory (like with having too many monster output files open).
