Subject: Creating monthly data from year
Content-type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii
I just started working with SAS this week, so please pardon my limited knowledge
and this basic question...
I have a simple dataset with two variables YEAR and LIABILTS. The year
observations run from 2000 -2040. What I want to do is to create a new dataset
that will have monthly activity (which will be 1/12 of the year amount) for
years 2000-2003.
So, I somehow need to add a month variable and populate it with 1-12 (for the 12
months), and 1/12 of the LIABILTS amount if the year is in(2000-2003).
Any help steering me in the right direction would be most appreciated.
(Using 6.12 on NT)
Thanks!
Tom
