Subject:      Calculating differences
Content-Type: multipart/alternative;

I have inputted data into the editor form survey that I have collected. I asked participants what speed they drove in four speed zones 30, 50, 80 100. what I would like to do now is to get spss to calculate the difference between the speed and the reported speed for each zone. Ex. if someone reported driving 45 in a 30 zone, I want spss to tell me that there is a 15 km/h difference. I need to do this to save time and effort. Any suggestions? Please keep in mind I have never used to syntax editor.

Take care, Talino
