Extensive knowledge and competency demonstrated during the past 20 years
in statistical analysis, modeling, forecasting, data mining, and
knowledge discovery systems. Also experienced in quality assurance and
experiment design. Statistical experience includes design and analysis

industrial, agricultural, and environmental applications.
Additionally experienced in coordination and management of personnel and

Qwest Communications
Manager Network Reliability Analysis (8/99-9/00)
Reported to the Director of Ring Operations providing analytical insight
to the measurement and analysis of the performance of Qwest
communications networks. Major efforts included researching and
applying new analytical techniques and tools to the analysis of network
reliability problems. Current responsibilities include working with the
Database Integrity Group in an attempt to survey, clean up, consolidate,
and improve network databases in preparation for future reliability
analysis needs.
Consultant (10/92-8/99)
Provided statistical and Data Mining consulting to clients in the fields
of telecommunications, database marketing utilizing my skills to develop
models using linear and non-linear techniques as well as other
analytical approaches. Other duties included education and training of
client personnel on modeling techniques and capabilities. Also
performed research in the field of Data Mining, reviewing new software
products and making recommendations for changes to future releases.
Also provided statistical consulting and programming assistance for
companies in the fields of marketing research, survey analysis and
design and computer systems engineering/analysis. Responsibilities
included performing analyses and reporting results to executive
management. Additional responsibilities included designing experiments,
advising and educating engineers and marketing professionals on
statistical methods and experiment design. Statistical experience
included analyses such as correlation, factorial, model development
(linear and logistic), analysis of variance, and programming with SAS,
Visual Basic, and Microsoft Excel.
Clients included
MediaOne Group, Qwest Communications, ICG Netcom, EDS, Pacific Bell,
West Pac (Overseas Bank), Chase Manhattan Bank, Bellcore (Bell
Communications and Research), Censtor (R&D in disk drive technology),
AT&T (Federal Systems), and American Express.
