Don't be so naïve. We all know SAS; they'll keep the functionality, only they'll move it into SAS/TRANSLATOR and license it separately. 8-)

My version of SAS v8.0 still has PROC SPELL, though undocumented. My guess it's on the way out, as is PROC ENGLISH.
