Subject: Importing data containing dates

Hello,

When I import data with a date field from Access, SPSS converts the dates into a different format. For example, In Access the date format is MM/DD/YY HH:MM AM/PM, SPSS converts it into 10-NOV-2000 13:06:00. Is there some way to tell SPSS to maintain the Access format?

TIA,
