I'll post this for Annette Bittaker of Douglas (who I don't believe is on GABO), who also saw her first Pine Siskins of the year today, and in fact the first of the past three winters, at her feeders. Another hint of perhaps an invasion year of this and other species.

We're awaiting confirmation of a Black-chinned Hummer here in Valdosta, as it seems like a banner year for "western" hummers throughout the southeast-- to wit, 6 species of hummers now in the Pensacola area, and five that I know of throughout Georgia at the moment.
