Hi all, well i have run into another problem - I have the year on year enrollment info for a largish number of students 10000+ However, there are a number of duplicates - continuing students studying over a number of years. I have had a colleague separate out the duplicates using MSAccess queries - but this is a lot of work and means importing and exporting between packages and is not exactly satisfactory in terms of results.

What i would like to do is to be able to draw a random sample from the data using Select Cases - to send out questionnaires - but obviously i dont want duplicates appearing in my random sample any ideas for cleaning up the data? but in a way that still identifies students as enrolling in more than one year ?

ADVthanksANCE
