Subject: Spss DLL Files??
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

Hello Everybody,

I am trying to run a script on different machines to see if it works and naturally this is not the case!!! I used the SHOW command in syntax to see what configurations my colleagues are using. We should all have the same programs installed however I found that some DLL files are installed on my machine and not on theirs (I have no idea why?).

The names of the files that we all have are: SPSSWIN.EXE 10.00.05 SPSSWCTL.DLL 10.00.05 08 Dec 99 SPSSWCOM.DLL 10.00.05 08 Dec 99 SPSSWDAT.DLL 10.00.05 03 Dec 99 SPSS.ERR 10.00.05

On top of these, the following files are install on my machine : SPSSWMTC.DLL 10.00.05 08 Dec 99 SPSSWFIL.DLL 10.00.05 08 Dec 99 SPSSWCDE.DLL 10.00.05 08 Dec 99 SPSSWTTE.DLL 10.00.05 08 Dec 99

I cannot manage to find any information about these DLL files. I don't know to what module they are related. All I know is that my script will run on my machine and not on theirs. This is the only difference shown in the SHOW output. Does anybody have an idea what the problem could be??? Or simply what are these files? Should I contact SPSS technical service???

Thanks a lot,

Jean-Francois Flechet
