Hi, Raynald
I am awed by your macro-wizardry. I have got to figure out how to learn
to do macros, as they can be an enormous time saver if you know what you're
doing. Any suggestions?
This rearranging files from many-to-one or vice versus comes up so often
in medical studies that I'm always trying to figure out a better way to do
it. As soon as I saw your latest macro the lightbulb finally went off --
use SPSS like I'd been using Excel (duh ..... ) and put the labels into an
SPSS file. Much cleaner and easier to maintain (and document!)
Do you have a web-site? If so, post your program to your site and I'll
most definitely make a link on mine to it. (Or if you don't, can I put it
on mine with your name and e-mail address in the program? plus any other
contact info about you if you'd like). For these repeat-questions on the
list if we can refer people to either SPSS AnswerNet or our own web sites
we might not lose these helpful answers.
Thanks!
Carol
