Subject: spss 7.5 for windows 95 on Novell server
<bigger>Hi,
Has anyone installed SPSS 7.5 on a Novell server and if so,
what issues, if any are there on a client PC?
We have previously had SPSS 7.5 (not a server version)
running on Novell servers and windows 95 clients running the
application off the server without any problems but recently
since the update of our site license in December this year, it
starts to run on the client but then hangs at the SPSS logo. I
then do CTRL-ALT-DEL and end task on SPSS and get
SPSS Manager is not responding. Processor will terminate.
Press Y to attempt to save data file to
C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\SPSSTEMP.SAV. SPSS Processor
is terminating. Working data not saved. (This is not a problem
as I can't get into SPSS to put any data in).
We did get a message where the license had expired but this
was
resolved with updating the new license and SPSS worked for
a bit
without any problems but now a week later, it is not working.
I should point out that using the same CD, I install on a
windows 95
client with the same license and it works OK but not when I
install it
on the Novell server.
Any help would be appreciated,
