Subject: Deadline for SAS-L award votes approaching!
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

Folks,

The voting is still open for the annual SAS-L award nominations, but it won't be for long! The deadline is this Sunday, March 4, so if you haven't voted already, please take this opportunity to recognize the "best" contributors of the past year. Voting is online at http://lark.cc.ukans.edu/~ippbr/sugi26/saslbof.htm, courtesy of Web Wizard Larry Hoyle. Winners will be announced at the SAS-L Random Access Lunch / Birds of a Feather (RAL/BOF) session at SUGI.

The MVS award (Most Valuable SAS-Ler) is intended to recognize the person(s) who contributed most significantly to SAS-L over the last year. SAS-L Hall of Fame members are ineligible (Ian, you know who you are). The nominees for this prestigious award are as follows:

Paula Adkins Nancy Brucken David Cassell Peter Crawford Richard DeVenezia Paul Dorfman Ron Fehd Ya Huang Charles Patridge Matt Zack

The SASLROY award (SAS-L Rookie of the Year) is awarded to the SAS-L newcomer who has made the most significant contributions. This year the nominees are:

Paula Adkins Paula D. Curtis Smith

Finally, you also have until March 4 to nominate candidates for the SAS Institute Consultant of the Year, or SICY. The winner of this award will get an all-expenses paid trip to SUGI, courtesy of SAS Institute, so this is an excellent way to recognize one of the SAS Institute tech support standouts.

These will probably all be close elections. YOUR VOTE COUNTS!!! We promise no hanging, pregnant, or dimpled chad.

The SUGI 26 SAS-L BOF Planning Committee,

Jack Hamilton (JackHamilton@firsthealth.com) Larry Hoyle (l-hoyle@ukans.edu) Joe Kelley (jkelley@arches.uga.edu) Sally Muller (sally@email.unc.edu) Ray Pass (raypass@att.net) Mike Rhoads (RHOADSM1@westat.com) Dianne Rhodes (RHODESD1@westat.com)
