A rule many of us follow is that we don't vote for a ballot item if the effect can be accomplished easily already.  We'd rather have SAS Institute devote its efforts to adding new features (such as the ability to specify the logical order of variables in a data set using a data set option) or fixing broken existing features (such as the regular expression functions).

Since you can make NOOVP the default for your installation by adding a line to the configuration file, I wouldn't rank this suggestion high on my list.

Something I'd rather have is the ability to make the MISSING option the default in all procedures which accept it (summary, means, freq, report, tabulate, and probably others).  Failure to specify the MISSING option is a common cause of subtle errors, and I've never worked anywhere where "throw away data without warning" is a desirable default.

Only if you have turned off the overprint option.  Try specifying
options noovp ;
And you should only get the error printed once.
