Check your OS390/MVS gurus to see if your site supports NFS clients. This should allow you to map a drive letter to a mainframe flat sequential text file (so says the literature).

Hi there gurus.............

I am hoping to get some ideas about how to connect a winNT SAS 8.1 session to a MVS based dataset or at least to be able to read an MVS flat file using my PC based SAS system. Do I need to run jobs remotely or can I access data directly using some FTP type program. SAS 8.1 is on the MVS system too. I think that SAS connect is on both systems.

If anyone can supply some real examples of code that they have used I would be most obliged.

Doug
