Hi Anne,
I downloaded the file to my download directory, and the following syntax
reads it correctly. You don't really need the file handle command, but it
makes it easier for me to read. If you want to get rid of it just replace
"FILE=EXCEL" in line two with the path to the file and discard the file
handle command.
FILE HANDLE EXCEL /NAME='c:\download\scert1\readership.xls'.
GET TRANSLATE FILE=EXCEL /TYPE=XLS /RANGE A3:W3 /FIELDNAMES /MAP.
EXE.
APPLY DICT FROM 'c:\download\scert1\readership dictionary.sav'.
EXE.
