Ok, I read in a text file (works just fine) and save the syntax.
The field Straigh2 is numeric and contains <<1234.56>> and <<0.111111123456789>>. This gets read in as 1234.56 and .11 respectively. I can manually adjust the decimals (under the variable view tab) and the remaining elements of the 0.1111.... show up.
However, that kinda defeats the purpose. Everything calculates correctly so the remaining positions ARE there.
Is this something I have to live with, or is there a way to expand the showing decimals in syntax control?
I have tried the "show decimals" option, apparently the only thing that does is give you an example of the output in the output viewer.
I tried changing the definition (F17.2) to (F17.5). That did nothing except confuse the issue.
Would appreciate any help.
