Subject: toolbar commands in v8.1

I like automating my work and I have created a series of keyboard shortcuts that do things such as prepare data steps, freqs, and tabulates etc ... you know the kind of shells that you just need to fill in the gaps with.

I have been unable to get a command to work on the toolbar to call up any of these shortcuts (ie Ctrl+Alt+f for proc freq data=........; tables......./ out=....; run;). Does anyone know how to create a new icon that will run a user or keyboard shortcut/command? If so, how do you create user commands? I prefer not to use the keyboard due to an injury and would like to cut down on as much typing as possible - hence the icons on the tool bar seem a good option.

Any help appreciated.

Dennis
