OK - Florence was a great location. Opening session included the same video used in the opening session at SUGI, also the same drama performed at the opening session at SUGI but this time it was performed by several actors whose primary language was not English (as far as I can tell) - very different to the Long Beach version, though the words were the same. At SEUGI there is much more focus on business/solutions and most papers (if not all - SAS Institute excepted) make great mention of customer success stories.

The highlight for me (being a techie) was hearing Paul Kent and ? Kelly (standing in for Sandy McNeil) speaking. I always love hearing developers talk about SAS. The other main use for techies like me is for networking with other SAS users and talking to SAS European staff about various issues. If there are any more business focussed attendees out there I would like to hear what their take on SEUGI is.

I can provide some more details if anyone would like, the proceedings will be mailed to attendees on CD soon and is not on the web (as far as I know).

Phil
