Subject: Resources for Independent Contractors?
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

I've just been offered a full-time contracting gig with a state agency, and was hoping some of you could point me in the direction of some good resources (websites and books) to learn about the logistics and issues about entering into this kind of relationship. They've not mentioned any of the pertinent aspects, so I am assuming all is negotiable. My expectation is that it would be 40 hr/week and working on-site, but I would like to learn about things like taxes, incorporation, insurance, etc.

Thanks.

Joe McCrary
