Aside from the many excellent answers proferred so far, let me add that SAS-l is a community. No question is too trivial or too difficult, someone will take it on. And you may make friends. You will find others who do work similar to yours and develop an email relationship. You may find someone else who cares passionately about programming standards. And then you can round up this merry band of friends at the next SUGI.

Heck, you might even fall in love!
