Today, in a period of New Economy, the Networked Society, and other blown-up buzz words, it is surprising to read that your superiors have such a limited understanding of how list servs work. It sounds as if you were personally resposible of the public relations material that the retailers put into your mailbox. It sounds as if we have to withdraw from life if life seems to become a little bit dirty.
If a filter can be installed at the listserv server that stops any mail not starting with SPSS in the object and if this a solutioon to the problem, we should invite the list serv administrator to do so.
