the "-nonews" option will turn off the news dialog.
your license to sas seems to have NOT expired- you seem to hold a
lawful license to sas for 30 more days. but, you are being bombarded
with advertisements from SAS, for renewing, rationalized herein as
some form of "error messages" as if you did something wrong. we found
these messages quite damaging. on one project, sas output parsed for
webpages could not be easily parsed when it contained the effluent ad
blitz from sas.
if you in fact paid for 12 months use of a product and in fact got
damaged goods the 12th month, maybe your legal people should contact
sas.
