Hello everybody,

I look for help for a stupid error. Every time I try to add a variable to my system file through clicking through the Data/Merge File/ ... menu, SPSS produces a access violation. Then you have to click on the Dr Watson program window and SPSS closes down, with no further explication.

Can anyone give me a hint where to find the error ? I am trying now the second PC to work around the problem, working an that issue for 2hrs. I guess it's that for what I get my money.
