You can use the xdate functions - xdate.year, xdate.month, xdate.mday or
xdate.year, xdate.jday in COMPUTE to take apart a date value, manipulate
these as needed, and convert back to a date value with the date.yrday and
related functions.

SPSS stores dates as seconds elapsed since 00:00:00 on 14 Oct 1582.
Try adding 31,536,000 (the number of seconds in a 365 day year)
