SAS - Technical consultant / Project manager ( very well funded Pre-IPO)

Location: VA /DC / MD area - Sorry no relocations or H-1 or other Visa's at this time. This is a "Full Time" position not a Contract position

Compensation: $100-135K + more $ depends on exp. level + Bonuses + benefits + Pre-IPO stock

This candidate will be working with a key software vendor/mfgr. on solutions at the fore-front of the e-commerce/e-business market with quantitative analytical and statistical processes in a database marketing environment to improve/optimize business performance of the customers. This Pre-IPO company is very well funded and has solid sales growth.

Skills/Qualifications:

Should have demonstrated project and customer management skills. Minimum 2-4 years of experience in consulting/professional services using SAS modeling products/tools to build response, profitability and other types of models. Working knowledge of modeling techniques such as Logistic Regression, Neural Networks and CHAID. Helpful to have technical skills related to planning/executing direct marketing campaigns. Exposure to helping customers successfully integrate software products huge a plus, but not necessary. Technical training experience is also a plus.

It will also be helpful to be able to communicate well with (convey complex ideas to) a business audience. Should also be able to translate business analysis needs into technical requirements (and architecture definition).

Additional hands-on experience with at least a few of the following specific technical areas is important / helpful:

1. Data Mining tools, such as: SAS, SPSS, Oracle Darwin, Quadstone, IBM Intelligent Miner. 2. Web analytic tools, such as: Engage, e.Phiphany, Accure, Netgenesis, SAS, BIA, Oracle Intelligent WebHouse, SPSS.) 3. Statistical Analysis tools, such as: (SAS, SPSS.) 4. Data extraction/translation/load tools, such as: DataStage, Genio, Microsoft DTS, Oracle Warehouse Builder, ETI Extract, Constellar Hub. 5. Data cleansing tools, such as: ISI, Integrity. 6. ETL Tools, such as: Ascential DataStage, Informatica PowerCentre, Hummingbird Genio, ETi.) 7. Reporting/OLAP tools, such as: (Business Objects, Cognos Impromtu/Powerplay, Crystal Info, Essbase, Brio, Oracle Discoverer, Oracle Express/SFA/ORA, Actuate.) 8. Relational Database Management Systems, such as: Oracle, SQLserver, TeraData, Informix, RedBrick.
