Skills:

Minimum 3 years experience in large systems capacity planning. Minimum 2 years SAS programming language experience, modelling tool experience a plus. Good working knowledge of OS/390 architecture, including processor and I/O subsystem measurement tools such as SMF, RMF, MXG, Sysview, Astex, and Strobe. Experience with SAS ITSV ( IT Service Vision), distributed systems or web background will be a plus.

Description:

This Capacity Planner will be working with the applications side of the house to manipulate performance data and handle key projects within our business areas. This role will not be playing with numbers all day but managing projects and process improvements.

Additional skills: General working knowledge of client/server and middleware platforms and architecture. Ability to create process and process improvements for all aspects of project capacity planning and performance benchmarking. Basic project management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Behavioral Characteristics: Good team leadership skills. Good problem solving skills. Cross functional communication and negotiation skills. Strong focus on customer support. Good personal work ethic and organization skills.

This position is responsible for developing and modifying moderately complex operating software programming applications from detailed specifications. Assists with design, coding, benchmark testing, debugging and documentation of programs. Applications generally deal with utility programs, job control language, macros, subroutines and other control modules. Expected to work independently on most phases of software systems programming applications.

Description:- Provide a professional and technical leadership role for project capacity planning for a large enterprise processing environment. Provide accurate management reporting of project resource usage and forecasts by line of business. Provide accurate planning interface to the resource procurement process.

Salary: 70-75K plus 15% gainsharing.
