Paul,
I have downloaded a demo from http://www.conceptual.com of DBMS/Copy 7.0 and this allows me to transfer the data and the value labels into SAS 8.2 from SPSS 10.
It creates 2 separate variables in the SAS data set, one which is numeric and the second which is nominal format which contains the value labels.

Tyhe last I heard, dbms copy still hadn't come to grips with the new label
files in SAS v8. I don't know if they have corrected that yet. I have been
converting v8 to v6 and then to spss.

Hi,
Is DBMS/Copy currently the only way to transfer data labels between the
latest versions of SPSS and SAS?
