try using windows update on the failed machines, and then trying again..
if you don't have windows update, just go to
windowsupdate.microsoft.com, using internet explorer, and keep on
upgrading til barfosoft is happy. it *says* they are not reading your
computer, i don't know for sure, but it beats riffling thru ftp sites.
now, if the failed ones are up to snuff, and the *good* ones are NOT
updated, now that's another can of worms...
