(is it just me or do all these double-byte thingies make your browser crawl?)
But now we have a conundrum, for the SUGI Presentation Guidelines (page 7)
state that:
• SAS is no longer considered an acronym for anything.
further, the Guidelines also points out:
• Never refer to the product or company as S-A-S, pronouncing each letter.
Instead, the
name is simply one syllable and rhymes with “lass.”
Lass? ... me thinks they'd fail at charades!
(either that, or it must have been an English proof-writer .... David? <g>)
