Hey, thanks for the replies! I did read the data with the INPUT and INFILE statements. I've never had this problem before even when data has been tab-delimited. I've never had to tell SAS that it was delimited with a tab and it would just read the different variables as I listed them with the INPUT statement. That's why I asked the question. I will try your suggestions, but I'm still wondering why it is doing what it is doing in this situation.
