Subject: large flock of Brown-headed Cowbirds

We just had Brown-headed Cowbirds here.

I've seen one or two of them in the past couple of weeks, and last year at times we'd have several at a time, but never anything like this!

There were too many to count, all crowding into and on and under the big cedar feeder in our yard, must have been at least 50 of them. I went out on the deck, and there were more in the Locust tree next to the house, covering the top of the tree, all told at LEAST 150 Brown-headed Cowbirds, they grouped and flew up a few yards away. I wanted to get a good firm count, but the buggers were so many, and moving and squirming the above are just estimates. I've never seen so many of them together here in Bethlehem!
