I was on the coast yesterday. I first stopped by Nicole
Janke's house and was able to find the White-Winged
Dove that she reported there. It was briefly present
around 9am and was not seen for the next hour that I
was there. Also, present were about twenty Pine Siskins
and a Great Crested Flycatcher.
Next stop was Harris Neck NWR:
Cattle Egret (2)
Yellow-Crowned Night-Heron (5)
Then at Altamaha WMA:
Mottled Duck (4)
Glossy Ibis (50+)
Bald Eagle
Next I hit Andrew's Island Causeway:
Long-Billed Dowitcher (app 10)
Short-Billed Dowitcher (about 20)
Cattle Egret (2)
Then at St. Simons:
Reddish Egret (2)
Marbled Godwit (1)
Great Black-Backed Gull (1)
Red Knots
Black Skimmer (app 1200)
Finally Jekyll Island:
Least Tern (1)
Marbled Godwit (11)
Piping Plover
Wilson's Plover
I hope this gives you an idea of what's out there.
