Subject:   Calculating Number of Elapsed Days
Content-Type:   text/plain; charset="us-ascii"; format=flowed

Hello:

I am hoping that someone with some more expertise will be willing to help me with what might seem like a basic question.

I want to calculate the number of days between two dates (to understand the number of days of hospital service patients received) - I have an intake date and a discharge date, the current format of the dates is in Month, Day, Year, order.

I am not sure of how to use the compute transform data feature to accomplish this - as it is more than simply: DischargeDate - IntakeDate

Further, since the hospital program only offers services on weekdays - would I have to multiply by 5/7ths to get a more accurate count?

Thank you very much for your consideration of this problem.

Paul
