Subject: Performance Benchmark: Single licence Users vs. Simultaneous Lice
nce agreement

Dear members of the list,
This question is targeted towards the SPSS users using a network based
version of SPSS (Simultaneous Licence User Agreement).
I may switch from a "c drive installed" version of SPSS to a network based
licence, as this option looks somewhat less expensive than buying an extra
licence. However before I do that I would be interesting in hearing opinions
from SPSS users using a "network based" version of SPSS.
Are you happy with the S/W performance ?
Is it not too slow compared to a "c drive" version of SPSS ?
From a technical angle, does the "network based" version of sps used mostly
the microship of my own computer or does it pull more resources from the
network (hence slowing everybody!).
I know that some would say that it mostly depends on your network
performance, but I would really appreciate some feedback on that one.
Thanks,
Olivier
