Hello Hank,

I'm working on the same thing at the moment (although with a much bigger data set) and you can find examples from the following:

SPSS tech id 100006265

and

http://www.tc.umn.edu/~syzygy/Rsc_SPSS1.htm#MtoOne

and

http://pages.infinit.net/rlevesqu/SampleSyntax.htm#RestructureFile

Not cut and paste, but will let you know what needs to be done. Thanks to those who provided the code on the above web sites.

Good luck,

George

Does anyone have info on how to transform SPSS data from multivariate to univariate layout? I've got a dataset with 12 cases per subject that I want to turn into a dataset containing 1 case per subject.

I'm sure there's some good samaritan out there who's already written a macro for this purpose that I can just paste into my syntax window, right?

Puzzled in Pensacola Hank Phillips
