Try sorting your data in descending order then use the lag function, resort back in ascending and the result will be a lead variable.

I'm not aware of any such function. You might try resorting your data in the opposite order and then using the lag function.

does it exist the inverse function of the lag function?? I mean a function that returns the future value of a variable (not the lagged). I need it in a proc model. thanks a lot
