As referred in our information database regarding SPSS, our software can handle the described number of variables and cases :

The regular window version has a maximum of  2^15 = 32,768 variables  and a maximum of  2^31 = 2.15 billion (2,147,493,647) cases.
The student version is limited to 50 variables and 1,500 cases.

I think this confirm all the informations given on Raynald's Website (really interesting one).
