From what I've heard first-hand--"any" ERP implementation will take longer than planned. Thanks for the confirmation, Curtis.

I've been involved with ERP implementations since 1996. They seem to rarely go smoothly or as advertised by the vendor (and end up costing much more than promised). I have not heard anything good said about Oracle Financials (not that it is a bad product - I just have not heard any one say anything good about it - but I have heard negative comments about it). So, I am not so surprised that SI is having trouble getting Oracle Financials running.

Dear Susie,

The problems SAS have had in implimenting ORACLE financials was cited as one of the reasons why the IPO hasn't happened yet.

Re someone elses comments on spilled milk - I for one am not crying,

Best Wishes,

Philip
