 Dear Colleagues,

 Four, full-day short courses covering cutting-edge
 statistical methodology in biometrics will be held
 by outstanding researchers on Sunday the 21. July 2002
 in Freiburg. The courses are:

 1. LONGITUDINAL DATA, LINEAR MIXED MODELS  AND INCOMPLETE OBSERVATIONS
    Instructors: Geert Molenberghs and Geert Verbeke

 2. ANALYSIS OF MULTIPLE EVENT AND CORRELATED SURVIVAL DATA
    Instructor: Terry M. Therneau

 3. BAYESIAN HIERARCHICAL MODELLING USING WinBUGS
    Instructors: Nicky Best and Sylvia Richardson

 4. STATISTICAL METHODS FOR DIAGNOSTIC TEST EVALUATION
    Instructor: Constantine Gatsonis

  The registration fee for the short courses is 300 EURO for
  members of the IBS and 350 EURO for non-members,
  catering during the day is included.
