Subject: Where is PROC DATASETS in version 8
Content-Type: multipart/alternative;
;

Dear SAS-Ler's

It has been a long time since I have used PROC DATASETS. Also I have been using SAS version 8.02 on PC for quite sometime. But I cannot find PROC DATASETS procedure. Has this procedure been discontinued. Is there a substitute procedure which does same things as DATASETS used to do in version 6.0. I want to rename a bunch of variables without reading the entire file. It was very easy to accomplish this using PROC DATASETS. Can someone please enlighten me.

Thank you very much.
