JR Statistician for Major Pharmaceutical Company in Northern New Jersey.

Must have a PhD in Statistics or Biostatistics. Will look at PhD in Mathematics if they have a concentrated background in Applied Statistics.

Candidates will be working as an entry level Statistician in the therapeutic areas of Oncology and Cardiovascular on Phases I-III. They may be assigned to other therapeutic areas as well, so this can be transparent. Candidates will be focusing on analyzing data, developing analysis plans, protocol development and CRF review. They will be performing basic Biostatistics functions. They will be heavily interacting with SAS programmers and will need a strong background in SAS and Applied Statistics. Candidates will be heavily supervised by more senior team members and will be reporting to the Mgr of Stats.

Relocation assistance will be provided by the client and they will look at non-local candidates.

Candidates must have 0-2 years of experience in a Pharmaceutical/Clinical environment. Any experience with a Big Pharma company either through an internship, co-op or actual work experience is a huge plus. Candidates must have experience in Applied Statistics and SAS. A PhD is required in Stats or Biostats. Client will look at candidates w/a PhD in Mathematics, but must have a strong background in Applied Statistics. Candidates must be a team player and be able to interact well with others and be open to constructive criticism.

Salary can range from 65K-80K based on experience.
