Several chapters in SPSS ADVANCED MODELS 10.0 are devoted to survival analysis in SPSS. Though it is oriented toward Stata rather than SPSS, Mario Cleves, william W Gould and Roberto G. Gutierrez, AN INTRODUCTION TO SURVIVAL ANALYSIS (Stata Press, 2002) can be read profitably. You will also learn about procedures that cannot be carried out easily in SPSS.
