Jim,

Of course, another solution (not exactly what you asked) might be found in the USER= system option. Check it out.

I'm trying to do something very simple and I'm having trouble. All I want to do is change the work directory that SAS uses during a session or by default. I want to be able to control this option both on my Windows (PC SAS 8.2) and UNIX systems. Can anybody help? Thanks, Jim
