A few comments and questions:

A. I hope that all of you guys are reporting these issues to SAS Tech Support.

B. Have you applied all of the appropriate hotfixes for your installed products? I believe there are some that are essential for proper operation under 2K and XP, although I've had a heck of a time trying to determine that from anything on the SAS web site. My recommendation is just install every thing that is applicable (especially the hotfix bundles for Base and Core) regardless of whether it appears that you need them or not.

C. You know that user profiles really shouldn't be in the temp directory, right? User profile stuff gets put in temp (aka WORK) when another job or user is using the real SASUSER directory, which should be located elsewhere, such as somewhere off of each user's home directory.
